Community Action Partnership: Funding Opportunity for London Communities
The NHS Legacy and Health Equity Partnership (LHEP) and the Greater London Authority (GLA) have launched a microgrants programme to support community organisations. This initiative addresses health inequity and healthcare exclusion.
The grants, ranging from £2,000 to £5,000, are available for community-led initiatives that promote partnerships between communities and health services, focusing on building shared resilience and enhancing access to healthcare. We strongly encourage Disabled People's Organisations to apply.
Proposals prioritising the health and well-being of communities impacted by health inequality and presenting solutions to overcome barriers to health services are particularly welcomed.
To assist you in the application process, Disability Rights UK will organise a virtual application support session exclusively for DPOs interested in applying. To register your interest or for further details, please email rebecca.tayler-edwards@disabilityrightsuk.org with the subject heading 'Application Support Session Registration - Community Action'.
The application period opened on 3 July 2023, with the closing date set for 5 pm on 11 August 2023. Award announcements will be made on 14 September, and projects are expected to be implemented between 15 September 2023 and 31 March 2024.
