At this week’s Royal Television Society Awards, Channel 4’s coverage of the 2012 Paralympic Games was awarded a Judges’ Award.  The award was accepted by presenters Clare Balding and Ade Adepitan, together with a number of the on and off screen team behind the coverage.

Announcing the award, Chair of the Judges David Liddiment said:

“British TV has much to be proud of and we have been celebrating many fantastic programmes….However from time to time television manages to harness its considerable power and trigger a shift in public attitudes for the better. This has been the achievement of Channel 4.”
