The Big Benefits Row was a discussion programme in which experts attempted to debate the controversial subject of benefits.
The programme was on Channel 5 at 9pm tonight and will be repeated Tuesday 4 February, at 6.30pm.
Unfortunately there was little debate as some participants fought to outdo each other with varying degrees of rudeness and stifled any attempt at debate by shouting it down.
On the plus side several key messages did get out for those prepared to listen, including:
- benefit fraud is less is barely 1% whilst tax fraud is massive.
- the majority on benefits are not sick or disabled but pensioners.
