Campaign to Save Tax Credits

Disabled people – even when working – are more likely to live in poverty than non-disabled people. This impacts on our ability to participate in society and affects whole families, including children

If tax credits are simply cut, without employers paying the living wage, then disabled people are likely to be disproportionately affected. We judge policies by whether they help or hinder disabled people’s participation in society. Just cutting tax credits when employers are not paying a living wage fails that test.
