On Tuesday 30 May, candidates representing three of the main political parties answered questions from an audience of people with disabilities from across the UK.

The candidates who took part in the hustings event were:
- Penny Mordaunt – Conservative MP for Portsmouth North since 2010 and Minister of State for Disabled People, Work and Health
- Kate Green – Labour MP for Stretford and Urmston since 2010 and Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities
- Baroness Brinton – President of the Liberal Democrats
The hustings was chaired by David Brindle, Public Services editor at the Guardian.
