The Leadership Academy Programme (LAP), is a career development programme for employees with lived experience of health conditions and disability.
On 10 May 2018, we held the Leadership Graduation event for this year's cohort.
The event celebrates the achievements of the Delegates and was a great chance to see the impact that the Programme has on their lives, both professionally and personally.
Through presentations the delegates highlighted key findings, from their reports, which gave attendees a chance to see first-hand key issues faced by disabled employees in the work place.
Thus, the event had the added benefit of shared learning, which could be taken away and applied in practice.
We are currently recruiting delegates for the 2018-19 cohort, so if you are an employee or an employer, who is interested in finding out further information, please email The Leadership Academy Executive; Katrina.morris@disabilityrightsuk.org or please visit the Disability Rights UK website; https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/how-we-can-help/leadership for further information.
Thanks to our keynote speaker, Michael Bromwich, Professor Emeritus, London School of Economics and Disability Rights UK Treasurer.
Well done to our 2018 Graduates
Thanks also to Plexal for the use of their Elba room for the event.
