Researchers at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine are conducting a study on how teenagers with Down syndrome and their families prepare for and manage their periods. Periods can be a confusing and challenging time for any teenager, and girls with learning disabilities may have additional needs and experiences. The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine are conducting an anonymous (private) online survey to learn more about how teenagers with Down syndrome and their families prepare for and manage their periods. If you are the caregiver of a girl or young woman aged 10-19 with Down syndrome you can participate, even if they haven’t started their periods yet. Click this survey link to participate. We recommend completing the survey using a computer for best results.
The findings will be shared with all participants and we intend to use the results to improve menstrual health support for our families.
