Paid research panel opportunity

News

DR UK is supporting research by Alix Partners into disabled people’s experiences of using physical payment terminals. The aim is to set out practices and guiding principles for payment firms to make their services more accessible and inclusive.

We are organising a panel session at our office in Stratford, East London 11.00 am - 2.00 pm, Wednesday 2 April.

We can offer a payment of £60 plus up to £20 towards travel to take part. This can be in vouchers if you prefer. Light lunch will also be provided from around 1.30 pm.

You’ll have experience of using payment terminals regularly most weeks. This means handheld mobile devices that small businesses, coffee shops etc. might have, as well as shop tills and counter terminals. It can also include using unattended machines such as ticket vending machines.

We’re interested in the experiences of people who have visual impairments, hearing impairments, are wheelchairs users, or have medical conditions affecting mobility or use of hands or arms. It will also be great to hear from you if you have a neurological condition such as MS.

If you’re interested in taking part, please email training@disabilityrightsuk.org. Just a couple of lines about your background would be useful to help us get a good range, such as age (if you don’t mind), disability or impairment.
