In a world where understanding and support for people labelled with BPD are increasingly imperative, the launch of "Living on the Borderline" marks a significant milestone in the Disabled community. This new Disabled people-led group offers community for those at various stages of their understanding and living with the label of BPD.
At its core, the group aims to create a comforting home away from home, where individuals can confront tough questions, offer mutual support, and share insights, with people who share experiences and understanding about BPD, how society views the label and the support people deserve.
The group hold’s a Virtual Bistro, held bi-weekly on Saturdays. This virtual coffee meet-up provides a safe space for individuals to connect with like-minded peers. Led by hosts with lived experience, everyone can engage in informal discussions in a safe and caring environment.
Importantly, living on the Borderline emphasises safety and support. Instead, it complements existing resources, offering a unique blend of peer support and camaraderie.
