Help Shape the Future of Intersectional DPOs in the UK – Take Part in Our Research!
Disability Rights UK is launching an exciting new research project on intersectionality in the DPO sector—and we want you to be part of it!
This is more than just research. It’s about action. We know that intersectional DPOs are underfunded and overlooked, and this research will help us campaign for real change—from better funding for intersectional work to stronger recognition of the unique role DPOs play in the UK’s social justice landscape. We want to hear from you! Whether your organisation explicitly focuses on intersectionality or you’re working to integrate it into your wider approach, your insights matter. By taking part, you will:
- Shape the research and ensure it reflects the realities of intersectional DPOs.
- Strengthen our campaign for intersectionality funding and DPO development.
- Be credited as a named author (if you wish), which can support your organisation’s visibility and credibility—especially if we secure publication.
- Influence future work, as this pilot study will lay the foundation for larger research and advocacy efforts.
How you can take part:
- Survey (15–20 minutes): Share your experiences, challenges, and strategies. Your responses will be completely confidential!
- One-on-one interview (45–60 minutes): Dive deeper into your organisation’s journey and help shape recommendations for better policies, funding, and sector-wide support. Your responses will be completely confidential!
Your participation will help build a clearer picture of the barriers DPOs face and what’s needed for real intersectional justice in the disability sector. We know capacity is tight, so we will make participation as accessible as possible, working around your needs. Your insights are vital, and we’re committed to ensuring they have real impact. Interested? To take part in our research:
