On 18th September, our Get Yourself Active (GYA) campaign hosted an event aiming to re-energise the movement landscape, to be more inclusive for Disabled people. Our Get Yourself Active campaign was set up to tackle the barriers within the physical activity and social care spheres that prevent or deter Disabled people from moving in a way that is enjoyable and fulfilling for us.
The event brought together Disabled people, DPOs, workers from the physical activity sphere and those working in health and social care, all with an aim of dismantling these barriers, led by the lived-experience of Disabled people. It was a day filled with important conversations, valuable reflections and co-production practices! Read this article on the GYA website to hear more reflections on the day.
