Disability Rights UK Countersign Letter to Scottish Cabinet Secretary regarding ScotRail Ticket Office Reductions
Disability Rights UK have countersigned a letter, along with Transport For All to the Scottish Cabinet Secretary over the imminent reduction of hours for ScotRail Ticket offices.
DRUK Transport Policy Adviser Stephen Brookes says "We support the letter from the RMT union to the Scottish Government in opposing proposals to drastically reduce opening hours of Ticket Offices". He continued by saying "The concern is that it would lead to the eventual closure of ticket office facilities which was widely threatened two years ago which we fought tooth and nail. Any reduction in facilities which make it easier for disabled passengers to use rail services goes against all the accessibility requirements and DR UK stand firm on such opposing such actions."
