I wanted to share some exciting information with you about The Leadership Academy Programme.
Link to video explaining more about the programme
A fundamental tenet of Disability Rights UK’s attitude to leadership is that disability provides leaders with a “unique advantage”. People with lived experience of disability and long term health conditions, need to work differently, and often think differently. Unlocking barriers provides access to a broader pool of talent and provides access to unique talents. The Leadership Academy Programme (LAP), is a programme designed specifically for junior/middle level managers, who want to progress in their careers and have a disability or a long term health condition.
Please see attached the new recruitment flyer and we would greatly appreciate it, if you would share this information with your networks, such as staff intranets, your equality, diversity and inclusion specialist(s) or the HR team member(s) responsible for Learning & Development.
We have seen outstanding results in the development of the delegates, who have attended the last two years of the programme. We are very pleased with the outcomes for instance, we have seen an 80% success rate of our delegates either applying for or being promoted into more senior roles within their place of employment. Moreover, all delegates have reported a significant increase in their confidence and identified key areas in their skills gap where they can improve and develop their professional attributes and increase their efficiency through more effective work practices and new found leadership skills. Please visit our website for more details of the outcomes from the first year’s programme.
If you are interested in applying please request an application form. Places are offered on a first come first served basis and payment will be expected as soon as your provisional offer has been made. Please feel free to come back to me should you have any further queries, by contacting The Leadership Academy Executive Katrina.morris@disabilityrightsuk.org or phone 0207 250 8188
