DR UK ILF research cited by BBC
News
The research, carried out by Disability Rights UK, into tomorrow’s closure of the Independent Living Fund (ILF) was mentioned several times on the Today Programme this morning, and on BBC TV News
Disability Rights UK sent FOI's to find out what local authorities would be doing about ILF transfers in England (Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are introducing replacement ILF schemes).
Our survey found that less than half of local authorities have decided to ring-fence funding, which shows the severe uncertainty those being transferred off ILF in England face.
