Travel pass protest victory for disabled passengers

Transport chiefs in South Yorkshire have been forced to make a U turn on a decision to axe free rail travel for elderly and disabled passengers on 1 April.

Passenger fought back by turning up and trying to board trains without paying at peak times.

As a result of a series of protests South Yorkshire transport has pledged to continue to offer all-day free bus and train passes to people with disabilities.
