Our Health in Your Hands has launched a campaign for the Deaf community about your rights to an interpreter.

The campaign explains that you have a right under law to have a properly qualified interpreter in a healthcare setting like a hospital and a GP surgery when you need one.

All interpreters must be registered with the National Registers of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People (NRCPD)

The campaign explains how to check if your interpreter is registered with the NRCPD and how to complain if you are refused a registered interpreter.
