Sapphire Summit - Thursday 4 July 2013 - King’s College London – Institute of Psychiatry

Presenting findings from their five year NIHR research programme investigating stigma and discrimination in mental health to promote healthcare access and social inclusion.

Led by Professor Graham Thornicroft

Summit theme: ‘Sharing Stories to Stop Stigma’

Programme: There will be plenary sessions with special guest speakers and parallel sessions presenting Sapphire findings. There will also be an Art Auction and drinks reception at the end of the day.

Leading Stigma researchers will share the latest research findings from the Sapphire programme on:

  • Understanding discrimination
  • Using mass media to counter stigma and discrimination
  • Stigma and discrimination and access to healthcare
  • Discrimination and employments
