Disability Rights UK Annual General Meeting 2024!
We are excited to invite you to Disability Rights UK's Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be held online on 27th November 2024, from 3 pm – 4 pm.
This is a opportunity for our members to come together, reflect on the challenges and achievements of the past year, and hear about our work in advocating for and supporting Disabled people’s rights, access to justice and our influencing work.
This year, our AGM will take place just before our Disabled Youth-Led Conference, so you can attend both important events in one afternoon!
At the AGM, you'll hear directly from our CEO and the Chair of the Board of Trustees, who will be sharing insights on how we have responded to the ongoing challenges faced by Disabled people. From the work through the Disabled People’s Manifesto, rising living costs and our role in the Covid-19 Public Inquiry, we’ve worked to ensure our voices are heard by those in positions of influence and power. We have worked with other Disabled People's Organisations (DPOs) to demand changes to improve our lives.
We also want to hear from you! There will be time to ask questions, share your thoughts, and engage in discussions about the direction of our work in the year ahead. It’s a fantastic chance to speak directly with us and give your input into shaping the future of Disability Rights UK.
Another highlight of the meeting will be the introduction of our new trustees, who will join the board in 2025. You’ll get to meet them and learn how they will support our mission going forward. We hope to see as many of you as possible at this year’s AGM. Together, we can continue to drive forward positive change for Disabled people across the country.

Register For Our Annual Conference
This year, our Annual Conference will focus on the lived experience of young Disabled activists - how we make space for young people in our movement, and what we can learn from young Disabled activists and the different ways they campaign. We will be joined by young Disabled campaigners influencing social and political change and facilitate a discussion on what the Disabled People’s Movement needs to do to embrace and include the talents and voices of young Disabled people.
We'd love for you to come along and be part of the conversation!
