About Barclays Apprenticeships

  •  Further education not for you?
  • Want to get a job and start earning money?
  • Keep being told you don’t have the right experience?
  • Have you considered a Barclays apprenticeship?

It can be really frustrating when you’re looking for work but don’t have the right experience. Barclays aren’t interested in your experience, they care more about potential. They are keen to engage with talented young people who are looking to make their first step onto the career ladder, but who are struggling to be taken seriously.

Skills, qualifications, work experience and more

If you’re a young person aged 16+, this exciting programme is aimed at you. As a Barclays apprentice you’ll benefit from invaluable work experience, an extremely competitive salary and extensive support to help you develop valuable skills and work towards a QCF qualification on the job. For example, you could achieve a level 2 in Providing Financial Services – the equivalent to 5 GCSEs.

At the same time you can feel confident about your disability or health condition not being an obstacle to the application process. Barclays truly embrace diversity & equal opportunities so rest assured your application will be taken seriously as long as you can demonstrate your potential.

It’s all about who you are

Barclays recruit based on attitude and potential rather than experience and qualifications.

The work they do is far more than just numbers and spreadsheets. They aim to provide unrivalled customer service, working as part of a strong team. They love meeting with all sorts of people and always deliver a can-do attitude with real energy, passion and initiative. If that sounds like you too, then now is the time to start your career with Barclays.

Our partnership with Barclays is driven by a mutual value in equality and diversity and encourage applications from all ethnic minorities and backgrounds. However, please note that applications from non-disabled candidates will NOT be considered through our project. We can only support applications from those affected by health conditions and/or disabilities.
